European Senior Championships, Stich avanza nel singolare e nel doppio femminile

E’ un’ottima Erika Stich quella che oggi ha calcato i campi di gioco degli European Senior Championships di Guadalajara che hanno visto l’atleta azzurra qualificarsi al turno successivo nel singolare femminile e nel doppio femminile.

 

Nel singolare femminile (+50) l’azzurra ha superato nettamente in due set (21-4; 21-16) l’inglese Debora Miller mentre nel doppio femminile (+45) in coppia con Maria Luisa Mur sempre in due set (21-10; 21-11) si è sbarazzata delle francesi Ingrid Aymat e Catherine Ravel.

 

Domani nel singolare femminile ai quarti di finale la Stich, bronzo agli ultimi Campionati Europei, dovrà sfidare la norvegese Brit Thyness mentre nel doppio femminile sarà chiamata ad affrontare le polacche Dorota Grzejdak e Barbare Kulanty, teste di serie numero uno del seeding.

 

Ottima prestazione infine anche per Emanuele Casales e Carlo Alberto Di Marco nel doppio maschile (+40) che contro gli spagnoli Raul Jareno e Juan Luis Prieto sono riusciti a prolungare l’incontro sino al terzo set (21-18; 21-23; 21-14) dove gli iberici hanno conquistato il match.
