L’azzurro Rosario Maddaloni esce di scena nel torneo internazionale  “AIR TAHITI NUI INTERNATIONAL CHALLENGE 2012”. Maddaloni è stato battuto al terzo set dalla seconda testa di serie del tabellone principale, l’austriaco Michael Lahnsteiner, n.60 nel ranking mondiale. Dopo un combattutissimo primo set vinto 23 – 22, l’azzurro ha ceduto i set successivi per 21-14 21-12.  
L’altro rappresentante italiano in gara, Wisnu Putro, passa il turno vincendo in due set (21-15 21-12) sul polinesiano Antoine Beaubois. Negli ottavi Putro sfiderà la testa di serie n. 5, l’israeliano Misha Zilberman.

Il prossimo appuntamento dell'azzurro Maddaloni è a Caldas da Rainha, in Portogallo, dove parteciperà al torneo “Portuguese International Championships 2012” in programma dal 26 al 29 aprile.
