Brazil International Challenge, Maddaloni avanza al secondo turno

Si è aperto con la vittoria di Rosario Maddaloni in tre set (21-19; 18-21; 21-8) il percorso degli azzurri in Brasile. L’azzurro ha sconfitto il portoghese Bernardo Atilano e nella notte italiana affronterà la testa di serie numero due del seeding, il padrone di casa Ygor Coelho.

Buona prestazione anche per Fabio Caponio che è andato vicino all’impresa contro il numero tre del tabellone, l’israeliano Misha Zilberman vincente in due set (23-21; 21-16) in un match sempre equilibrato.
