Islanda, Azzurri fermati agli ottavi

Dopo un ottimo debutto nel primo turno gli Azzurri, impegnati in Islanda nell’Iceland International 2018, sono stati fermati dai lori rispettivi avversari agli ottavi di finale.

 

Rosario Maddaloni che nel primo turno al termine di una partita combattuta ma ben giocata aveva superato dopo un’ora di gioco in tre set (9-21; 21-14; 21-18) l’Inglese David Jones è stato poi superato in due parziali (21-19; 21-14) dall’Indiano Bodhit Joshi.

 

Buon match di debutto anche per Fabio Caponio che ha superato in due facili set (21-13; 21-19) l’Austriaco Michael Giesinger per poi essere fermato dalla testa di serie numero 2 del tabellone l’Inglese Sam Parsons, che avuto la meglio in un match molto equilibrato fino alla metà del secondo set (23-21; 21-13).
