Si conclude con la medaglia di bronzo il percorso di Fabio Caponio al Santo Domingo Open. L'azzurro dove aver lottato in maniera tenace contro la testa di serie numero uno del seeding, il brasiliano Jonathan Matias ha dovuto cedere in due parziali (21-15; 21-16).
